Why Republican
Questions around emergency decisions, court pathways, or due‑process timing often sit in narrow spaces where scrutiny is difficult. These processes deserve closer attention, especially when uncertainty about how the systems relate is left unaddressed. If that uncertainty remains, the discussion can side‑track away from the real issue.I chose to be republican because I support liberty and household agency. Republican party aligns with my priorities of boundary protection and decentralization.
Statecraft
I intend to make the state more accountable and more legible, so people can better understand how the powers around them may affect them. I’d curtail liberty‑removing powers exercised outside the judiciary and set boundaries where overlapping systems can affect a person’s custody. I favor direct support to households, recognizing that they already carry many of the same responsibilities as institutions. Relief‑seekers should see rules designed to guide them from filing to hearing, with a court‑interface that helps bring their claims to a decision on the merits.
Safety begins at home
In a hard moment, it helps to have already talked about what you’d do. Let’s not meet the unexpected unprepared. Join me in refusing to be caught off‑guard.Parents have a duty of care to help children recognize unsafe dynamics, refuse harmful influence, and outmatch the unexpected. Naivety is natural but getting unprepared is preventable.We can make these conversations more normal and more supported. Households should support practical awareness and boundary-setting. Public policy can help.Aversion is a first defense; refusal is a second.
